Why us
Why homeowners call us for mold removal
Mold removal has an obvious way to fail. Clean the growth, leave the water that fed it, and it is back in the same wall inside a season. So the work is judged on whether the moisture source was found and corrected, not on how the surface looks the day the crew leaves.
The other half is containment. Disturbing growth without sealing the area first moves spores into rooms that had none, which turns one room into a house. The three below are what running the job so neither of those happens actually involves.
We work for you, not the insurance
How far it has spread and how much material has to come out is what sets the size of a mold job, and that is a reading, not a schedule somebody else wrote. We are on no carrier vendor list, so the judgment belongs to the crew holding the moisture meter. We bill your carrier directly for the restoration work, so you are not fronting the cost while a claim is processed.
We dry it and we rebuild it
Removal opens things up: drywall cut back past the growth, insulation bagged out, trim and flooring lifted where it has gone underneath. We hold general contractor licenses in North Carolina and South Carolina, so the crew that cuts it out is the crew that puts it back, and the room is finished rather than left sealed and waiting on somebody else.
Free estimate, any hour of any day
The inspection costs nothing: we find where it is growing, how far it has gone and the moisture reading that explains why it is there at all, then tell you what removal involves. Nothing starts until you say so, and our commitment is to be at your door within 60 minutes.

Restoration work is a stressful thing to hire for, so see what people say about how fast we answered, and how the job actually went.
Came in 30min for a freak accident with a water cooler. Explained everything and put my mind at ease. Very informative, 10/10.
When we noticed a water stain on the ceiling, we called Dan and he was at our house within the hour. He made an assessment and had his team out same day. They were polite, professional, and efficient. Highly recommend!!
What can I say about Dan and his team at 24/7 AquaDry other than they are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! From our very first call, as water was pouring between our first and second levels in our home, Dan and his team were responsive, compassionate, supportive, knowledgeable, and effective.
Dan and Taylor were professional, prompt, and honest. They assessed my crawlspace after a water intrusion and were upfront about the damage. They assessed if there was any mold damage and gave me honest feedback without pushing any sales tactics. I appreciate their honesty and assistance in a time of need.
Dan and his team were responsive, timely, friendly, and resourceful. They arrived when they said they would, provided a bid when they said they would, and completed the job within their estimated timeframe. Their professionalism and care stand out. I felt well taken care of throughout the process. I highly recommend 24/7 AquaDry!
Dan was extremely helpful throughout the whole process helping us with water damage concerns at our property in Matthews. He was very knowledgeable, easy to work with, and took the time to explain everything clearly instead of just trying to rush through the job. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people and doing things the right way.

What happens when you call
Our mold removal process
Mold is a moisture problem before it is a mold problem. Dry water-damaged materials within 24 to 48 hours and in most cases mold will not grow, which is why removal that does not find the water source is a job you pay for twice.
What that looks like varies with how far it has spread and what it is growing on. Surface growth on a non-porous wall is a cleaning job. Growth into drywall, insulation or subfloor means that material comes out under containment, because you cannot clean what the mold has grown inside.
Response
Someone answers, any hour of any day, and the first question is where the water is coming from, because that is what decides whether the removal holds.
Assessment
Where it is growing, how far it has spread, and the moisture reading that explains why it is there at all.
Mitigation & Containment
The affected area is sealed off and put under negative air before anything is disturbed, so spores are not moved into the rest of the building.
Cleaning & Drying
Affected material removed, surfaces treated, and the space dried so the conditions that grew it are gone.
Restoration & Repairs
Drywall, trim and paint put back, and the moisture source identified in writing so whoever fixes it knows what to fix.
Documented at every step
A mold file has to answer two questions in order: where the water came from, and whether the growth stayed contained instead of being spread through the building while it was removed. Readings taken before, during and after the work are what answer the second one. All of it goes in the file:

- Thermal imaging
- Moisture graphs
- Moisture mapping
- Daily drying logs
- Video documentation
- Xactimate estimates
- Equipment monitoring
- RH and GPP monitoring
- Moisture content readings
- Before, during and after photos
- Category and Class documentation
- Insurance documentation packages

FAQ
Mold removal questions we get asked
Where does mold come from?
Water, always. Mold needs moisture to grow, and materials that are dried within 24 to 48 hours will in most cases not grow it at all. That is why the first thing we look for is not the mold, it is the leak, the condensation or the flood that fed it.
Is it safe to stay in the house during mold removal?
Usually, and containment is the reason: the work area is sealed before removal starts, so life continues outside it. How practical that is depends on which room is contained, since a crawl space costs you nothing to lose for a few days and a kitchen costs you the kitchen. Where pre- and post-testing is agreed at the start, an independent lab confirms the scope passed before the containment comes down.
Can I just clean it myself?
Sometimes. Surface growth on a hard, non-porous surface can often be cleaned. What does not work is cleaning material the mold has grown inside, like drywall, insulation or carpet, because the visible surface is not where it lives. If you are unsure which one you have, the estimate costs nothing.
Do you find out why it grew?
That is the part that decides whether it comes back. Removal without dealing with the moisture source is a job you pay for twice, so finding it and writing it down is part of the work rather than a separate visit. If the source is a plumbing failure, fixing the pipe is a plumber's job and we will say so.
Do you handle the repairs, or only the removal?
Both. We are licensed general contractors in North Carolina and South Carolina, so we do the removal and the rebuild that follows it: drywall, flooring, paint and trim. That is one company and one number for the whole job.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. We come out, tell you what we find and what the job involves, at no cost and with nothing owed if you decide not to go ahead. Nothing starts until you say so.
Are you licensed and certified?
Yes, and the numbers are public. North Carolina general contractor #83926, South Carolina #CLG-123544, and IICRC certified firm #56517068 for the cleaning and restoration work.
Which areas do you cover?
We cover 25 cities across the Charlotte metro and into South Carolina, worked out of offices in Waxhaw, Fort Mill, Charlotte. If your address sits near the edge of that, call and ask rather than guess.
